Dr. Heather Kornmehl joined Texas Skin Center in 2024. She received her medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine, after completing her residency training as a Dermatologist; she practiced Dermatology in the Houston area before entering a fellowship in Mohs Micrographic and Dermatologic Surgery. She is highly skilled in treating all conditions of the skin & nails (medical dermatology) and the gold-standard surgical micrographic removal of skin cancers (Basal Cell Carcinoma, Squamous Cell Carcinoma & Melanoma). She has extensive training in this surgical technique which is tissue-sparing and provides patients with a 95-99% cure rate and the best cosmetic outcome possible. At Texas Skin Center Dr. Kornmehl offers her skills in General Dermatology, and Surgery to patients in the greater Houston area. She is experienced in clinical research and public speaking. When not at work, Dr. Kornmehl enjoys spending time with her husband and children, enjoying the outdoors and the Houston culinary scene.
